Course description:

This is a highly specialized power system protection modelling and design coursework for practicing power system engineers. This coursework will impart in-depth knowledge of power system protection working for transmission, distribution, renewable energy developrs as well as consultants through real case studies, current challenges faced by utilities and system operators throughout the world, protection requirements of Renewable energy assets including solar plants, wind farms and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Continuous changes in the power sector requires the power system engineers to update themselves with the current industry practices and software recommended for it.

Course Objective: 

Develop Industry standard modelling expertise for practicing power system engineers and also maximizing their job readiness. At the end of the coursework, the attendees will be able to model the network, conduct fault analysis, design protection schemes and configure the settings files for commissioning.
